Error: 'There are No Listeners Connected for the Endpoint'

Causes

  • Access Connect is not installed on the SQL or RDS server.

  • The Access Connect Service is not running on the server.

Ensure the Access Connect Service is running — this error typically means the service has stopped. The service is installed on your SQL or RDS server. Ask your IT team to check.

Solution 1 — Install and configure Access Connect

If Access Connect has not been installed, your IT team should follow the Access Digital Tax: Connection Setup Guide to make Dimensions aCloud ready and set up Access Connect.

Solution 2 — Check the Connect Service in Windows Services

On the server, open Services and confirm:

  • The Connect Service is running.

  • The Connect Service startup type is set to Automatic.

  • The service is logged on as a domain administrator with full admin rights to the server and database.

  • There are no network restrictions preventing the server from communicating with *.accessacloud.com

To help diagnose the issue, review the Connect service logs in Event Viewer. If the Dimensions data source still fails to show database options, or a different error appears, see Error: Problem Executing the Configured Procedure.

Solution 3 — Check Access Connect credentials

The credentials used with the Access Connect service may be incorrect. Contact support — they can check and reset the password if needed. See Get support in Dimensions.
