To update Dimensions with a VAT return that has already been submitted to HMRC, see one of the force-update articles below: - Submit a VAT Return in Dimensions after installing Access Connect - Submit your VAT Return in Dimensions following the install of Access Connect - VAT Return error: 'The application was unable to insert into the table SYS_TAX_AUDIT successfully' - Submitting a VAT Return in Dimensions following the install of Access Connect
đ Note: Ensure you select the period range matching the obligation date, and confirm the figures match before proceeding with a force-update.
Work through the following causes to troubleshoot and prevent this error on future submissions:
Duplicate records in the ACP user records table in the SQL database.
An incorrect licence that lacks the required modules for Access Digital Tax to update Dimensions.
The connect service on the server is not running with a sufficient admin account.
The connect service may be an older version with a known difficulty updating large databases.
There is high network traffic, low connectivity or a restricted network.
ADT may be syncing to Dimensions to read the figures but failing to perform the update (a partial incomplete synchronisation). See Synchronise a Dimension User to Access Workspace to use Access Digital Tax.
There may be an issue on the back-end of Access Workspace with the link between ADT and Access Financials.
The user submitting the VAT return within Digital Tax needs full permissions to the System area of Dimensions or Financials.
The workspace organisation should have only one set of relay keys, which must match those used with Access Connect.
The user record of the ADT user within Dimensions should be marked as a workspace user.
The ADT user must be a Workspace Organisation Administrator.
