To add another Dimensions database, use the Access Connect Configuration Tool. If Access hosts your environment, contact support to arrange this. See Get support in Access Digital Tax. Otherwise, ask your IT team to follow the steps below.
Go to the server where Access Connect is installed and open the Access Connect Configuration Tool. This is usually at: C:\Program Files\Access UK Ltd\Access Connect.
Click Databases and enter the details for the Dimensions database you want to link to Access Digital Tax.
Field | Description |
ID | Auto generated ID for the database |
Display Name | Name for the Database to be displayed in Access Digital Tax |
Product | Enter Dimensions as the Product. |
Server | Server Name |
Database | Database Name |
SQL Windows Auth | Tick this if you are using SQL Windows Authentication to access the database. |
User Name | User Name to access the database |
Password | Password to access the database |
Click Save.
Restart the Access Connect Service.
You can now select the Dimensions database in Access Digital Tax by editing your Data Sources.
đ Note: Ensure your Dimensions user has been synchronised with Workspace, or you may see errors when editing your Data Sources in Access Digital Tax.
